Secunderabad: Protesting against the attacks on doctors in Kolkata, Indian Medical Association called for a nation-wide suspension of medical service for 24 hours.

In response to the call given by IMA, doctors of Gandhi Hospital staged a protest before the hospital here on Monday and condemned the brutal attacks on doctors in Kolkata.

The protesting doctors bound their hands with bandages and displayed placards with messages condemning the attacks on doctors. Speaking on the occasion, doctors expressed their anger at the increasing attacks on them.

They said that it was unfortunate that doctors, who protect the lives of people, were being attacked. They also expressed their dissatisfaction over the police response to such attacks. They expressed their anger at the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Benarjee's arrogant approach towards the protesting doctors.
