Hyderabad: All political parties, apart from intensifying their campaign even braving chill and rainy conditions, are making best use of technology to carry their appeal for vote to the people.

The TRS, BJP and Congress parties have launched innovative campaigns on FM Radio channels and direct phone calls and phone messages to reach the voters particularly the youngsters in Greater Hyderabad.

The tech savvy TRS working president KT Rama Rao is ahead of all his rival party leaders in the campaign on different FM radios which have substantial numbers of audiences in the poll-bound Hyderabad city . The recorded audio messages and speeches delivered by KTR in the recently held meetings with different communities particularly with professionals in different fields have been chosen to be aired through the radio channels. KTR's audio messages are mainly targeted to attract and convince the youth, IT professionals and educated voters. FM Radios, the leaders say, helps in targeting the youth who are glued to music radio channels for entertainment. It helps in creating awareness on the need to go to polling stations and also carries the message of the leaders to the young voters. The general observation was that the percentage of youth and educated sections who go to polling booths to cast their vote was below 50 per cent.

The BJP has been trying to reach all voters directly by sending voice messages to the mobile phones of the voters requesting them to cast their vote for the saffron party contestants. The voice messages were being sent to the targeted voters in their native language. The party unit had done necessary ground work to identify the voters and their mother tongue.

For instance, voice messages will be sent to the voters in Hindi in the divisions which are dominated by North Indian people particularly from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra who are settled in Hyderabad. Kannada and Tamil voters are receiving messages in their respective mother tongue.

The Telangana Congress was sending voice messages of Congress working president A Revanth Reddy to voters in the divisions which are Congress strongholds like Malkajgiri Lok Sabha division.

The messages apart from appealing to vote try to counter the criticism of opponents and explain what they had done when in power in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.
