Hyderabad: The early bird property tax collection started at all citizen service centres across the zonal offices in GHMC limits on Monday. GHMC had received Rs 3.92 crore till now and through offline at zonal offices and citizen service centres by Monday evening it received Rs 8.17 crore.

Citizens can pay their property tax offline at their nearest citizen service centres and can avail the rebate scheme of five percent. Public laid a long queue to pay their property tax early at different citizen service centres across the GHMC limits and Zonal offices to avail the scheme of five percent discount.

GHMC had planned to procure large amounts of property tax in the Early Bird Scheme. GHMC also provided five percent discount for those who pay their property tax by April 30 through online which started from March 6 at E-Seva, Me-Seva and also using My GHMC app.

According to the GHMC officials, there is a huge response from the public upon early bird scheme in all the years from past. Only online till Sunday, GHMC had received Rs 3.92 crore and through offline at zonal offices and citizen service centres only within one hour of Monday morning Rs 2.20 crore was received.
