Hyderabad: City Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan and Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar conducted a meeting with Zonal commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and medical officers on Tuesday. Use of Geospatial Information System (GIS) satellite maps to collect property tax, issuing notices to owners of empty lands which are turned as dumping yards, filling potholes on roads by November 1, geo fencing for biometric system were the key points discussed at the meeting.

Special Commissioner Sujatha Guptha, Addl Commissioner Siktha Patnaik, Vigilance Director Vishvajit Kampati, Zonal Commissioners Hari Chandana, Musharaf Ali, Sankarayya, Srinivas Reddy, Mamata and others also participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Bonthu Ram Mohan said, "We have arranged four extra tippers and two Bobcots to remove garbage waste and construction debris in all places. Open garbage points should be removed and every circle should be made zero garbage circle. No one should make a back step to file a case on empty land shifted to dumping yard owners."

He further added, "Planning should be prepared according to ward, circle, zone wise for sanitation maintenance. Ban of single usage plastic should be implemented in much more extent. Tractors and lorries which throw construction materials on roads should be fined as Rs 25000 for the first time, Rs 50,000 for the second time and Rs 1,00,000 for the third time. If any vehicle commits same crime for the fourth time, the vehicle should be seized."

"The buildings which will not come under property tax and property with less tax will be altered with GIS method. Under assessed properties and new properties are found and corrected with the help of satellite map. The process has already started at Moosapet as pilot project. It will be finished by December and from January GIS mapping will be under implemented.

Commissioner and Vigilance department will be supervising the process," the Mayor added. Geo fencing will be combined for bio metric machines which are introduced to find the attendance of GHMC sanitation workers.
