Growing piles of Garbage

Garbage has been piling up everywhere on streets, lanes and including on main roads. The stretch of SR Nagar to Balakampet and stretch of Mitrivanam to Sathyam Theater is filled with garbage in all the corners of the street, locals says “GHMC is responsible for unattended garbage”.

Shopkeepers demand that GHMC officials address the issue and ensure that the garbage is removed regularly. It appears that neither residents nor the GHMC officials seem to be concerned about lifting of the piled-up garbage. The advertising pamphlets are additional add on to the garbage, as every hand-picker pamphlet is throw on the road itself.
They are apprehensive that the piled-up garbage may result in spread of diseases. Some locals have alleged that the supervisors and contractors who are responsible for monitoring the lifting of garbage are whiling away their time at local hotels.
