The residents displayed placards against the HMWSSB releasing water once in 15 days after collecting Rs 55,000 for each connection. With the scarcity of water, private water tankers' business is thriving.

Residents of Nizampet, Pragati Nagar and Kukatpally living in apartments are being forced to shell down as much as their monthly rent for securing precious drinking water. They wanted the officials concerned to take immediately steps to solve the water supply problems.
