Hyderabad: The BJP state president, Bandi Sanjay followers car was attacked by a mob on Monday night when he was travelling on Necklace road.
According to police, the it is believed that the MP of BJP who went to campaign in the areas of MS Makhta and was chided by the locals and they questioned his purpose of visit to their localities. Upon witnessing stiff resistance from the people the MP left the place, but was encountered by a mob on Neckalce road and they stopped his car. However the police reached on spot and controlled the situation and the MP left from the place.
The Hyderabad police Commissioner issued an note saying that, the issue occured due to some oral alterations between the parties, but it is under control now and a case has been booked by the central zone police.
He noted, "There are rumours that there was an attack on Sanjay's life, but all such rumours are false and if anyone tries to instigate fear and promote rumours ahead of elections then strict action will be taken against them."
