Illegal structures in full tank limits area demolished
As part of a special drive to demolish illegal constructions in full tank limits (FTL) of various tanks in the district, and following the Supreme Court instructions, Medchal district revenue and irrigation officials demolished illegal structures in FTL of Chintalkunta tank located at Dommari Pochamapally on Tuesday.

On Monday, officials identified illegal structures in FTL of four tanks in the district and those in 44 tanks are yet to be identified. Data related to 48 tanks in the Gandimaisamma mandal was compiled under the supervision of the local tahasildar Mallaiah. MRO Mallaiah, RI Chandramouli, irrigation AE Sahadev, VRO Abhishek and 20 government staff participated in the demolition of an illegal structure at Chintalkunta tank on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, tahasildar Mallaiah said that illegal structures in four tanks have been identified and those in the remaining 44 tanks in the mandal would be done shortly. He warned people to not to undertake any constructions within full tank limits of water bodies and all the illegal constructions, however large they may be, would be demolished.
