As another innovative step towards women safety & security, ‘She Shuttle’ bus service is inaugurated by Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat on the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, at Infosys in Pocharam on Monday.
LB Nagar: As another innovative step towards women safety & security, 'She Shuttle' bus service is inaugurated by Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat on the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, at Infosys in Pocharam on Monday.
'She Shuttle' is the latest technology-driven security system for all women passengers and exclusive transport system for the working women professionals in the IT corridor. It was rolled out for the transit safety, especially for the last mile transport.
It is equipped with a well-monitored surveillance system with CCTV, a woman security guard and a smart app for every passenger with panic button. 'Reach safe' app helps commuters know the exact time of bus arrival and monitor location. There was a huge response from the public to the previously launched 'She Shuttle' bus service in Rachakonda division.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Bhagwat appreciated the efforts of Infosys for ensuring women safety. He further added, "Already Infosys has installed a command and control center with community CCTVs worth Rs 5 crore at Ghatkesar Police Station and Medipally Police Station.
Very soon Rachakonda Security Council will be formed on the lines of SCSC." He acknowledged the efforts of SCSC, specially Margdarshak programme for women safety and traffic forum.
