RTC crossroads: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's comments were an attempt to scuttle the RTC strike, alleged Left leaders Potu Ranga Rao, Tammineni Veerabhadra, Punamneni Sambhshiva Rao and TJS president Prof Kodandaram at a press conference organised at Sundariah Vignana Kendra on Friday.

Speaking to media, left leaders termed KCR's comments as anti-constitutional and were intended to create panic among striking RTC employees. Terming the comments as egoism born from the victory in Huzurnagar elections, they expressed fears that the State may have to witness undeclared emergency.

Condemning the repressive actions of KCR and his comments against unionism, they called upon workers to continue their fight against the State government without any fear.

Most of the questions posed at the CM's press meet were not properly answered by KCR, and he did not maintain the dignity of the CM's post, they said. The comments made by KCR were not only against RTC employees but on those who raised their voice against the government and unionism, they said.
