Measures to prevent Dengue discussed
A meeting was organized to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the spread of Dengue fevers in the division here at Mallapur ward office on Wednesday.
Mallapur: A meeting was organized to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the spread of Dengue fevers in the division here at Mallapur ward office on Wednesday.
Local corporator Pannala Devender Reddy, GHMC official Deputy Commissioner Shailaja, AMO Maithreyi, Sanitation Inspector Dhana Goud and others participated in the meeting.
An action plan for prevention of Dengue was finalized at the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Pannala Devender Reddy urged people to take necessary preventive measures to stop the breeding of mosquitoes in their premises. He said that GHMC officials would ensure that anti-larval fogging would be done at vacant plots to prevent mosquito breeding.
He also appealed people to ensure that they do not dump their garbage on roads and vacant places and hand over the garbage to garbage collectors. Ward committee members, sanitation staff, local leaders and colony residents attended the meeting.
