Vikarabad: District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam said all the APOs should get ready for the plantation programme immediately after two to three rains. She reviewed a meeting on the action plan for the Haritha Haram with APOs and TAs here Thursday. She instructed the officials to speed up the works of digging pits for planting.

Use coolies by paying Rs 211 per day, she said. APOs should take responsibility of meet the targets and action will be initiated if anyone is found neglecting the duties.

The Collector directed the officials to make sure that 85 per cent of the saplings survive successfully. She suggested that they start the planting with teak saplings. DRDO Johnson, DFO Venumadhav, Agriculture Officer Gopal and Municipal Commissioner Bhogeshwarlu were also present.
