Kacheguda: Confusion prevailed at Kacheguda Railway Station and passengers bound for various destinations were left stranded as 51 trains including MMTS were cancelled for the day after the fatal accident in the morning when Lingampalli-Falaknuma (MMTS) train (Train No. 47178) collided with the Kurnool City Secunderabad Hundry Intercity Express (Train No. 17028).

Six trains were diverted via Secunderabad and passengers were told to board the trains at Secunderabad. Passengers were a confused lot as trains were rescheduled. People were seen rushing to the help desk.

"At 3 pm I was supposed to catch Tirupati- H. Nizamuddin train. I am from Nizamuddin. I have come to Hyderabad for some official work. Now as the train is diverted via Secunderabad railway station. Now I am rushing I don't know whether I would be able to catch the train or not," said Ahmed, a passenger.

"Today I was going to Mysore, as my father is not well but when I came to the station I came to know that Kacheguda – Mysore train got diverted to Secunderabad station.

As my family stays in Mysore and I work in an IT company in Hyderabad," said Shanti Laxmi, a passenger. "For the last 2 hours we have been waiting for the Kacheguda – Mahbubnagar train but now we came to know that it got canceled and we are now going back home," said Ramesh, a passenger.
