Malkajgiri: The GHMC Deputy Commissioner for Malkajgiri circle, T Dasharath, has appealed to people to take up the responsibility of saving environment. He was speaking at tree plantation programme held as part of Haritha Haram at a park in Yapral Kalyanipuram on Friday.
The official planted trees along with local residents in the park. Speaking on the occasion, Dasharath emphasised on the need for taking measures such as growing trees, preventing use of plastic and creating awareness on hazards of plastic.
He said that GHMC had been taking several measures to protect environment. Sanitation staff, colony residents and GHMC officials participated in the programme.People exhorted to spread greenery
