Hyderabad: Hyderabad will witness Delhi-to-Galli and Galli-to-Delhi politics on Saturday. While Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be addressing a public meeting at LB Stadium, on penultimate day of campaign for GHMC polls and will be taking on the Centre for its "lopsided" policies and failure to help the State, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too will be in Hyderabad around same time.

In a sudden development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to visit Hyderabad on Saturday. Official sources said that this visit has nothing to do with politics. Though it would be a short one which would end by 6 pm, it has assumed political overtones.

Modi would land in a special aircraft at Hakimpet airport, visit Bharat Biotech, review the indigenously developed anti-coronavirus vaccine and interact with scientists and go back to Delhi. The timing has created a sort of stir in political circles.

Earlier, Modi will visit Pune-based Serum Institute of India, which has partnered with global pharma giant AstraZeneca and the Oxford University for a Covid-19 vaccine.

The BJP was reportedly keen on PM Modi using the trip to campaign for the municipal elections in Hyderabad, but sources said the Saturday's visit will not include any political activity.
