Quiz competitions for non-Muslims tomorrow
With the objective of clearing any misconceptions about Islam and its teachings, a unique quiz competition exclusive for non-Muslims is being organised on Saturday.
Purani Haveli: With the objective of clearing any misconceptions about Islam and its teachings, a unique quiz competition exclusive for non-Muslims is being organised on Saturday. A cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively, will be presented to the first three winners, besides consolation prizes to others.
On the occasion, the city president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Hafez Rashaduddin, said that the quiz would be held in three languages: Telugu, Hindi and English. The topic of the quiz contest will be 'Towards Understanding Islam' and the questions will be asked from the book that bears the same title (in English) and Telugu Title -- 'idi-e-Islam,' and Hindi Title – 'Islam Dharm'.
"All the rounds of quiz will be conducted on Saturday. The preliminary round will start at 10:30 am. It is followed by final round and prize distribution. The participants are required to report before 10:30 am at Eden Garden Function Hall in King Koti.
