The showroom is showcasing carpets from reputed manufactures of Saudi, Turkey, Iran and Belgium. During Ramadan, which is a month of charity and good deeds, it has become a practise to donate rugs to mosques.

Mohammed Cap Mart has announced to offer a 10 percent discount on mosques for donation. "It is a tradition in Hyderabad and in most Muslim dominated cities and countries to lay new carpets and prayer rugs every year just head of Ramzan," said Managing Partner of Mohammed Cap Mart, Ilyas Bukhari.

These Musallas, and carpets form an exquisite collection of plush and profusely designed carpets and are available in textured patterns, hand woven designs to make modern weaves in silk, nylon or polyster. Some carpets and rugs are woven in wool, and some are a masterpiece in their own right, exemplary of skilled craft and meticulous workmanship.

According to shop owners, every year with the onset of Ramzan, this 4-storied one-stop store for prayer rugs, prayer carpets, prayer caps, etc is thronged by people from various parts of the city. The showroom begins an exhibition cum sale a fortnight before Ramzan. "This is piety and business both. Right before Ramadan, we see a spike in demand for carpets and caps, and so our exhibition is timely.

Not to mention, it provides customers a large variety of these things and in one of the finest qualities," says Bukhari. From commercially produced carpet rolls that adorn the flooring in mosques to nearly a metre-long Musallas for individual use, an exquisite collection of plush and profusely designed carpets are available. This 114 year old showroom sprawling 3000 square feet in the heart of Hyderabad's old city. Nearly 1000 types of prayer caps representing different cultures of different Islamic countries and places are also on display.
