Safety awareness drive for factory workers
Official of Telangana Director of Factories Rajgopal Rao urged the labourers working in various industries to take proper precautions for safety and health at work.
HPatancheru: Official of Telangana Director of Factories Rajgopal Rao urged the labourers working in various industries to take proper precautions for safety and health at work.
He was speaking at 'World Day for Safety and Health at work' programme organised jointly by National Safety Council and Telangana Department of Factories and BHEL safety department at BHEL Community Centre on Sunday. A large number of labourers working in various industries and representatives of industries participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajgopal Rao explained the importance of taking preventive measures for safety and health of labourers. He exhorted the managements of various industries in Telangana to take proper measures for the safety of their workers. He warned that stringent action would be taken against managements if they fail to take safety measures.
Uday Kumar, ED of BHEL, lauded the organisers for their attempt to raise awareness on safety through skits, plays and shows. He said that safety of workers was equally important as quality of products.
Employees and labour from various industries demonstrated safety measures. Audience were captivated by 'Bahubali' scene presented by BHEL employees to demonstrate the importance of safety. Later, prizes were presented to the winners of various cultural and other activities presented at the event.
