SC Society supports Mahagarjana call
The National Scheduled Castes Rights Protection Society (NSCRPS) extended its support to ‘Mahagarjana’ program to be held on May 8. The Society took this decision at Ambedkar Bhavan in an emergency meeting of the society on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, NSCRPS Sirigumma Raju expressed his anguish over the humiliation meted out to Dr BR Ambedkar by the State government. It was unfortunate that the state government has taken no action against those responsible for the heinous act of demolishing his statue, he added.
Raju said that the self-respect of Dalits could be protected only by reinstalling the statue of Ambedkar at the same place from it was removed. The Chief Minister should take necessary steps to protect the self-respect of Dalits, he added.
