Secunderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) conducted a detailed review meeting on safety, freight loading and punctuality of the Zone at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Monday. Principal Heads of Departments, Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through web conference.

The general manager advised the officials to strictly adhere to the guidelines to ensure safety of the tracks. He reviewed the freight loading of the zone which has shown significant improvement as compared to December last year. He also reviewed the action plan of the divisions on loading and transportation of various commodities, food grains, fertilisers, agro products and granite. He appreciated officials on the enhancement of speed for freight trains and also advised them to remove the caution orders related to speed restrictions wherever feasible to further improve the speed of freight movement. He emphasized on continuous persuasion with the customers in order to increase the outreach.

South Central Railway (SCR) held a Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee (ZOLIC) meeting through video conference under the chairmanship of General Manager Gajanan Mallya. The general manager expressed satisfaction stating that the Rajbhasha Department is actively working and the meetings of this committee are being organized on time.

"As per the present scenario, it has become mandatory to work in e-office. All hard files will be closed by the end of this financial year. The e-office has many facilities for officers and employees to work. All the magazines of SCR should be published only through e-medium. For increasing interest towards Hindi libraries, provision of useful and informative e-books, e-journals should be made available," said senior officer, SCR. All the principal heads of departments and representatives of the divisions and workshops participated.
