Sewage overflowing at HMT Colony
Overflow of sewage has become a common sight at HMT colony in Shapur Nagar. The residents are facing severe hardship due to the sewage overflow and water logging. Locals complained that the sewage water was getting mixed with the drinking water pipeline.

Vishal, a local, said that the sewage water has been flowing into the road for the past few weeks. The ZPS schoolchildren and the passersby were facing problems. He observed that this stagnated sewage was a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes which has increased to an alarming proportion.
Many times, people in the area complained about this perennial problem to the GHMC officials and also requested them to repair the drainage pipeline, but no action has been taken till date.
