Toli Chowki: Shah Hatim Lake, popularly known as Shah Hatim talab, has been in a miserable condition. According to the locals, the lake has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and rodents. "There have been a couple of mosquito drives on the lake, but it is of no use.
However, the mosquitoes still grow, and pose risk to our children. Because of the raining in the past few days, the area has been slushy and stinky. We request the civic officials to resolve the issue," said a resident.
Even after informing the locals and organizing drives, the locals are still throwing their garbage and waste in the Lake resulting in a layer of garbage dump formed around the lake and a blanket of horseshoe weed on the surface.
