Hyderabad: The Hyderabad SHE Teams and cybercrime police on Tuesday conducted an "Online Safety Workshop" for students from various colleges to make them aware of the crimes committed online and how to be safe and secure online. The program was held in collaboration with IAMAI and Siddham Foundation.

Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, who was the chief guest, spoke about the evolution of cybercrime, its prevalence in today's world and how to stay safe online. Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Shikha Goel, interacted with the students by giving them examples of real crime and precautions to be taken to stay safe online.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakshit Tandon, a cyber security expert and consultant of safe surfing campaign at IAMAI, energised the students with his speech and gave them important inputs of how to be aware of and prevent crimes online. Addl Commissioner (CAR Head Qtrs) Murali Krishna, Addl. Commissioner-Traffic Anil Kumar, Joint Commissioner (CCS-DD) Avinash Mohanty and other officers were part of the event.
