Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) is looking to increase its coal loading capacity this season. At a high-level meeting with the officials of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd.

(SCCL) at the SCR headquarters at Rail Nilayam here on Thursday, it was decided that SCR would load 40 rakes per day till March 31, 2020 and supply coal to various power plants like TSGENCO, APGENCO, KPCL, MAHAGENCO and NTPC. They also decided to supply the rakes to Cement Industries, Captive Power plants and sponge iron units as per the requirement.

K Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Operations Manager SCR and, N Sridhar, Chiarman & Managing Director, SCCL, B Nagya, Chief Freight Traffic Manager, SCR, Dr J Allwyn, Executive Director (Coal Movement), Antony Raja, and Chief General Manager (Marketing) attended the meeting.
