Special law to protect minorities sought

Addressing participants in a demonstration by minorities at Ambedkar statue at Sriramana Crossroads here, he wanted the Centre to introduce a special law to afford protection to the minorities.
He alleged that communal elements were encouraging Hindu-Muslim clashes. The AIYF leader demanded death penalty for the killers of Tabrez Ansari in Jharkand and payment of Rs 50 lakh as compensation to his family. He wanted attacks in the name of 'Love Jihad' to be stopped immediately.
Among the participants in the demonstration were AIYF Greater Hyderabad president Shaik Nadeem, Syed Ali, S Majid, Shobuddin, Mohammad, Nazeer, Mujib, Jameel, Muzaffar.
The demonstrators presented a memorandum at the statue pointing out that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office there were about 150 incidents of communal attacks across the country and that there was no protection to the minorities.
