Patancheru: Corporators Thota Anjaiah (112 division), Sindhu Adarsh Reddy (111 division) and Shankar Yadav Palgonnaru (113th division) municipal division were the chief guests at an awareness programme conducted at Sai Dharmapuri Gardens here on Thursday as part of the Swachh Survekshan2020's 'Saaf Hyderabad-Shaandaar Hyderabad' programme for the benefit of residents of the three divisions.

Many participants focused their attention on the segregation of garbage, treating dumping of garbage in open places as an offence, keeping residents' surroundings clean, reducing the use of plastic items and to ensure air, soil, air and water are not polluted.

As many as 700 women took part in the meeting, in which the corporators expressed their views on various issues. Prior to the inauguration of the programme, the municipal corporators went round the stalls put up by the GHMC's entomology, sanitation departments and the CRO.

Among those present were GHMC Deputy Commissioner Balayya, AMOH Lakshman Singh, SS Gopal Rao, Project Officer Punyavati, NGO Jyothi, CROs and GHMC officials.
