Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar stated that crores of rupees were spent for the development of Khammam town and the dream project of Khammam people, the IT Hub, was completed with all facilities.

The Minster along with District Collector RV Karnan, Khammam Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi and others inspected the IT Hub on Wednesday. During the inspection, he observed the works and interacted with the IT company representatives.

Speaking to the media persons later, Puvvada informed that the inauguration ceremony of the IT Hub, which was put off due to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, would be held on December 7, and the list of dignitaries attending the event would be notified later.

He informed that nearly 16 companies were operating with a seating capacity of 425 at the IT Hub that was constructed at a cost of over Rs 25 crore and job mela conducted recently at the SBIT College drew nearly 5,000 candidates. He added that the candidates would be imparted necessary training on the Hub premises itself.

He added that the second phase IT Hub would be developed on the instruction of IT Minister KT Rama Rao soon. "Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took special interest in the development of Khammam town and allotted crores of rupees," he said, thanking the CM and the IT Minister. He informed that the newly-built bus stand that was constructed with all facilities would be inaugurated on January 1.

MLC Balasani Laxminarayana, Mayor Dr Papalal, Trainee Collector Varun Reddy, SBIT college chairman Gundala Krishna and others accompanied the Minister.
