Licences for 15 liquor shops allotted in Kurnool
Kurnool: The allotment of licences for 15 liquor shops in Kurnool district has been completed. A total of 62 applications were received for 15 permits. The selection was finalised through a lottery held on Friday at Kurnool Zilla Parishad hall under the supervision of the District Excise Department.
District Revenue Officer Venkata Narayanamma conducted the draw in the presence of the applicants and announced successful allottees. Of the 15 permits, those for the shops at Pattikonda, Orvakallu and Halaharvi were awarded to women applicants.
Excise department Deputy Commissioner Sridevi, District Officer Sudheer Babu and circle inspectors were present during the process.
