Yuva Samvad Mela held at Narayana Medical College
Nellore: Narayana Medical College & Hospital, Nellore, organised ‘Yuva Samvad Mela’ during the fourth week of ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Weeks Campaign’, initiated by MY Bharat – National Service Scheme (NSS), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. About 700 people participated in the programme, themed as ‘My Health, My Pride’, creating awareness about drug abuse prevention, healthy lifestyles, and youth social responsibility.
Nellore Rural Circle Inspector K Venkata Reddy was the chief guest and Nellore District Youth Officer B Shashikanth Reddy was the special invitee. Dean and NSS Chairman Dr P Srinivasula Reddy, college officials, faculty members and NSS programme officers participated in the event.
The programme featured awareness sessions on the harmful effects of substance abuse, Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge, QR code scanning and toll-free helpline awareness by EAGLE team, a street play, classical dance, yoga demonstrations, student cultural performances, and a panel discussion on addiction prevention and healthy living. Awareness stalls were also arranged, and certificates of appreciation were presented to participants.
