Tirupati: The Centre for Women's Studies in SV University organised an international webinar on "Women's Rights and Human Rights: International, National and Regional Perspectives" on Thursday on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. SV University Rector Prof G M Sundaravalli inaugurated the webinar while the Principal of SVU College of Arts Prof B V Muralidhar spoke on the Women's rights and empowerment.
The head of Law department in SPMVV Prof T Sitha Kumari, Tirupati urban ASP E Supraja, Filip Strandberg Hassellind of University of Gothenburg, Sweden, webinar organiser and head of Centre of Women's studies Prof D Krishna Murthy and others spoke on the occasion.
The Law department of SPMVV also celebrated Human Rights Day. Vice Chancellor Prof D Jamuna and Registrar Prof DM Mamatha congratulated the faculty on this occasion. Dean of School of Social Sciences Prof T Bharathi Prof Mohan Rao Bolla, Prof T Sita Kumari and Dr Madhuri highlighted various aspects of human rights in their addresses.
