Vijayawada: Expressing ire over the indecent projection of women in the film poster of Dirty Hari, chairperson of Andhra Pradesh State Mahila Commission Vasireddy Padma demanded here on Wednesday that the film producers should be prosecuted for publishing such posters in public places.

Citing the example of a huge poster of the movie produced by MS Raju displayed at Undavalli in the Amaravati capital region, Padma said that it was a disgrace to women to be projected in public places.

In a letter to the director general of police, she stated that a criminal case should be filed against the film producer, director and the advertising agency for displaying such obscene posters in public places and on the charges of misleading the youth.

She said that such display of obscene posters at public places is violation of advertisement ethics, defacement of public property, and a narrow category pornography that violates contemporary community standards and ethics. She demanded immediate action in this regard.
