Voters enrollment ends today

Vijayawada: District Collector Md Imtiaz on Thursday said the last date for enrolling the names in voters' list is March 15 and called upon the people to avail the opportunity. He convened a meeting with the officials and discussed the arrangements for the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Speaking on the occasion, Imtiaz said booth level staff in 4095 polling booths in the district will be ready on Friday with Form -6 for enrolment of voters and voters list for the verification of names.

He said single window system will be implemented for sanction of permission for setting up temporary party offices, for using loud speakers, use of vehicles for the election campaign and taking out rallies etc. He said the applications can be submitted either manual or online 48 hours in advance to conduct the election rallies. He said election officials and police should work together to give permission for election related works.
