It’s high time that the administration needs to focus on ongoing developmental works in the city, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said.
Warangal: It's high time that the administration needs to focus on ongoing developmental works in the city, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said. Conducting a review meeting with the officials of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) at KUDA Office here on Saturday, the Chief Whip told them to speed up the works being carried under the Smart Cities Mission, Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). He directed the officials to call for tenders for the works approved in the GWMC Council meet.
"The road works being carried under the Smart Cities Mission should be completed by January end," Vinay said. Following a complaint from the gorporators that road works were going at a snail's pace, the Chief Whip told the official to expedite the works before his inspection next week.
Referring to Mission Bhagiratha, Vinay told the officials to ensure protected drinking water supply to all the households in February next year.
He told the officials to procure electricity poles and led lighting immediately. Municipal Commissioner Pamela Satpathy, Superintending Engineer Vidyasagar and Corporators were among others present.
