Vijayawada: City police on Tuesday, arrested six persons and recovered Rs.1.36 crore, which was robbed from a chilli trader Abhinav Reddy at Jakkampudi under the Two Town police station limits on March 22. According to city police, Vasupalli Nagaraju, a worker collects the business money of Abhinav Reddy.

Nagaraju's friend Reddypalli Kishore alias Nani, knew about the money collected by Nagaraju and hatched a conspiracy to rob the cash. On March 22, Reddypalli Kishore with the help of four persons robbed Rs.1.70 crore from the worker Nagaraju and fled away. Three persons Harshavardhan, Bhavani Sankar and Amar Chandu have pretended as police men and robbed Rs.1.70 crore as per the plan.

They took Vasupalli Nagaraju and other person to Jakkampudi Colony and robbed Rs.1.70 crore belonging to Chilli trader Abhinav Reddy. The trader suspected the involvement of his worker Nagaraju and lodged a complaint.

The police successfully nabbed six persons Nagaraju, Kishore alias Nani, Dasu, Harsha vardhan, Bhavai Sankar, Amar Chandu. A minor and another accused Ravindra are at large.The police recovered Rs.1.36 crore and are trying to recover the remaining money stolen by the gang.
