Following the intelligence inputs about the possible terror threat along the western coast, the government of Goa has imposed section 144 of CrPC in North Goa districts by which the people are not allowed from holding meetings at any of the premises.

North Goa District Magistrate R Menaka, has issued a notification on Monday, stating that the order imposing CrPC Section 144 will continue for next two months from February 11 to April 10, unless withdrawn earlier.

The notification stated that the ban is imposed in the wake of intelligence reports from the centre regarding the terror threat and anti-social elements activities. The district magistrate has asserted everyone in the district to be cautious about the persons who are moving in the surroundings of their houses
