New Delhi: After strong opposition from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor has to bow down once again. The Central Government today has withdrawn its order to go to Covid Care Center for compulsory health screening of Corona (COVID-19) infected patients. Now the team of Doctors will see the patient at home whether they can stay in home isolation or they need to be sent to the hospital.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that the central government has withdrawn the arrangement for Corona positive patients to go to the quarantine centre. Now again the same system has been implemented in Delhi that if you have corona, then you stay at your home, while the medical team will come and examine you.

Regarding the decision taken in the meeting, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal said that only those patients who are corona virus-positive who do not have adequate facilities for home isolation and do not have other health problems will need to be taken to the Covid Care Center.

The Lieutenant Governor said that the Delhi State Disaster Management (DDMA) meeting on Thursday approved the amendment of the SOP for Home Isolation of Corona patients to prevent the spread of the coronavirus for the sake of saving lives. And to meet the dual objectives of timely health care provision.

The Delhi government had strongly objected to this new system. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal described it as being in the custody of Covid-19 patients.
