Live updates: Narendra Modi speech on Jammu and Kashmir

PM Narendra Modi will speak tonight in a special address to the nation days after his government announced historic decisions with regards to Jammu and Kashmir. This week, the Modi government made public its decision to make Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which gives Jammu and Kashmir a special status, inoperable. The government also announced it was moving to bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories -- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
