New Delhi: Seeking strict action against his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) who was arrested on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday by the CBI, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia asserted that the Aam Admi Party (AAP) had zero tolerance for corruption. The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi also posted a tweet calling for punishment against the official in his office.

The CBI arrested Sisodia's OSD, GK Madhav, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.2 lakhs in relation to a GST case.

Accusing the AAP leaders of corruption, BJP spokesman and IT cell head, Amit Malviya said that Kejriwal's party was involved in harassing traders. He claimed that Sisodia's OSD was involved in extortion at the behest of Manish Sisodia.

In a tweet, Malviya claimed that the bribe of Rs.2 lakhs for which the OSD was arrested was a part of a larger amount of Rs.10 lakhs, he said. Amit Malviya also asserted that no official in a deputy CM's office would accept a bribe without the knowledge of his political boss.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra Minister, Nawab Malik, questioned the timing of the arrest of the OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister. He described it as an attempt to influence the outcome of the Delhi election. The NCP leader accused the BJP of using central agencies against the opposition.
