Southern stars and politicians vote in Tamil Nadu LS Polls Phase Two

The second phase of the Lok Sabha elections commenced today and a lot of famous celebrities were seen at various polling sectors. South superstar Rajinikanth and music maestro AR Rahman were amongst the initial voters. After casting his vote, Rahman quickly took a picture of his inked finger and posted it on Twitter.



Actor-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan, along with actress daughter Shruti, were spotted in a line up to waiting for their turn outside polling station 27 at Alwarpet Corporation School in Chennai, so did Tamil stars Vijay, Suriya and his wife Jyothika, who were also spotted in queue to cast their votes.

Post casting his vote at Stella Maris College in Chennai, Rajinikanth reacted to all the photographers and smiled for the cameras as he came out of the polling booth.

In Thiruvanmiyur, superstar Ajith was spotted at a polling booth near his residence, casting his vote. A huge mob of fans were attracted by the actor. The crowd had to be kept in control so that Ajith could step out of his car and enter the polling booth.

Today, the phase two of the Lok Sabha elections will witness voters in 95 constituencies across 11 states, casting their votes to decide the electoral fortunes of 1600-odd candidates. Polling is being held across 39 seats in Tamil Nadu, 14 seats in Karnataka, 10 in Maharashtra, eight in Uttar Pradesh, five seats each in Odisha, Bihar and Assam, two in Jammu and Kashmir and one seat each in Manipur and Puducherry.
