Dubai: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Fit India movement as part of the national sports day on August 29 at Indra Gandhi stadium in New Delhi. The main motto of the event is to promote fitness among the youth and partner them in national development.

Meanwhile, the Indian consulate in Dubai has launched a massive event on Fit India movement for the NRI's over there. The officials aimed to make Indians healthy and fit by adding physical activity and sports as part of their daily lives.

The recent reports reveal that the majority of the Indians who migrated to Arab countries over the past few years lost their lives due to heart attack. In this context, the Consulate has intended to create awareness among the workers on the Fit India movement.

Speaking on the occasion, the Indian consul-general in Dubai Vipul urged NRI's to make time for physical activities and sports as their daily routine to stay fit. For which, he said to utilize the sports events in Dubai. He added that the Fit campaign is carried out at the hostels of Indian workers, Consulate, and Indian schools.
