Chennai: Guntur Lok Sabha member Rayapati Sambasiva Rao Sunday hinted at formation soon of a political party backing Samikyandhra by all Seemandhra MPs. Addressing the valedictory session of the two-day diamond jubilee celebrations of the Andhra Social and Cultural Association here on, he maintained that no mainstream party, include the Congress, the main opposition Telugu Desam and YSRCP would gain confidence of the Seemandhra people.
There were no chances for any of the three parties in the ensuing elections in the region. Rao said after the Parliament session ends on September 6 all MPs would meet in New Delhi to discuss the formation of the new party. Already efforts were on to float the party. After the meeting a comprehensive picture would emerge. All the MPs were supporting the Samikyandhra agitation. But unfortunately, the ministers were differing on this issue. The union minister Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi was on dais while Rayapati was speaking, but did not respond to his comments.
