TRS MLA took objection to the presence of Congress and TD leaders on the dais Adilabad: There were some uneasy and embarrassing situations at the house sites distribution programme held in Adilabad town on Sunday. The meeting was arranged to present pattas to sanction houses under Indiramma Housing scheme to the beneficiaries of SC community. According to sources, District In-charge Minister Basavaraju Saraiah, District Congress President C Ramachandra Reddy and MP Ramesh Rathod were present at the house pattas distribution programme held at Priyadarshini Stadium in the town. Along with Ramesh Rathod, TDP Adilabad Asembly constituency in-charge Payal Sankar also took his seat on the dais. The TRS MLA Jogu Ramanna took objection for the presence of DCC president C Ramachandra Reddy and TDP leader Payal Sankar on the dais. He asked the officials how could they allow persons who did not belong to people's representatives or Government on the dais. With this objection, the Congress activists raised slogans in support of Ramachandra Reddy while TRS members raised slogans in support of Jogu Ramanna. In the meantime, some leaders wanted to disrupt the meeting and they asked the people to dispurse. Police intervened and brought the situation under control. Later, the Minister Basavaraju Saraiah distributed house site pattas to beneficiaries belonging to SC community. Altogether, 1,800 were given house site pattas were sanctioned at the programme. The Minister said that the Government had been striving to provide house sites to the beneficiaries belonging to SCs and STs without linking them with party affiliations.
