Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Sarvasresht Tripathi has asked the police personnel deputed for Ganesh immersion day to be alert while on duty. The police officials have to take necessary measures to prevent any violent incidents on the day, he said.

Mr Tripathi, accompanied by Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Panasa Reddy, addressed a meeting of police officials here on Sunday. Ganesh immersion procession would be held on September 17 in Bhainsa and on September 18 in Adilabad, Nirmal and other towns. A large number of police personnel were deputed to Ganesh immersion procession at Bhainsa and other sensitive towns, he said.
About 1,500 police personnel, including three Additional SPs, 5 DSPs, 15 CIs and 50 SIs were deployed for bandobast works on the day. Closed Circuit cameras were arranged at strategic points in various towns. Reserved Inspector B James, SIs (Reserved) Sainath, Madhukar, Srinivas, Peddaiah, Sekhar and others were present.
