Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner N Srikanth inaugurated the fifth property show of Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association (APREDA) at the A Convention Center on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he underlined the role of realtors in construction of a world class capital city for Andhra Pradesh.

“A majority of people have a negative opinion on the real estate industry. Realtors should focus on transparency in their business, besides laying emphasis on quality of standards in execution of their housing projects and other ventures to win the trust of people. The APREDA should take up affordable housing projects in the capital region to enable the common man to realise their dream of owning a house,” he said.

“Realtors taking up development projects in the capital region should strictly abide by the provisions of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Act. There is a need to organise special sessions to create awareness among realtors about the provisions of the CRDA Act to ensure that they strictly abide by it in execution of their projects in the capital region,” Srikanth added.

APREDA State president G Hari Babu said the association with 515 members had a code of conduct. It was committed to maintaining quality standards in execution of housing projects. “The two-day property show showcasing the ongoing projects of APREDA members will be helpful to prospective buyers to take a wise decision to invest on property. They can choose a flat or an individual house within their budget to realise their dream of owning a house. The LIC Housing Finance Limited is offering spot loan facility at the show,’’ he said.
