A three day faculty development workshop was inaugurated at the Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET) here on Wednesday.

A three day faculty development workshop was inaugurated at the Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET) here on Wednesday. The faculty of the Electrical Engineering (EEE) discipline would be equipped with skills in respect to the topic ‘Applications of LABVIEW and Multism in Electrical Engineering’. The workshop is a joint venture of the National Instruments of Bangalore with the department of Electrical Engineering.

Head of the department of EEE, MIC College, T Vamsi Krian inaugurated the workshop and opined that the Lab View applications is an emerging important tool in the discipline, which has a great context that requires attention of the faculty who deal with it. Senior Software analyst from National Instruments, Jameen Basha who will lead the workshop as resource person addressed the gathering of lecturers at the workshop.

During the inauguration, he shared a few technical topics that would be taught and practiced during the practical sessions to be held. Director of ALIET, Fr A Francis Xavier speaking on the occasion said that the institution believes in creating men and women for others. Students are trained holistically and for that our faculty has to be updated about the latest technologies and theories.

Faculty development workshop will not only enable our college faculty but also provides an opportunity for other lecturers to improve their knowledge, he said. Principal of the College O Mahesh also spoke. ALIET’S EEE head Y C Ashok Kumar, coordinators K Rajesh Babu,T Krishna Mohan, faculty of the concerned discipline were present during the programme.
