The Chief guest Dr A Rahendra Prasad, vice-chancellor, Nagarjuna University lit the lamp and started the programme, speaking on the occasion he said art indicates the growth in humanity, after bifurcation of the state, the department should be further improved and would be developed to the national level, he said it’s a rebirth to the art society to conduct these type of exhibitions regularly, and would propose fine art, music as special courses in the university level, he added.

He said that Dr D Vizai bhaskar, director department of language and culture, special guest, G Narayana rao, general secretary, Andhra arts academy, M Upendra, district governor lions, P Anil kumar, regional chairperson lions, Mrutyunjaya Rao, president, amaravati visual art society and Srinivas Pedakandla, secretary amaravati visual art society along with other dignitaries were present.

Dr E Sivanagi reddy, CEO cultural centre of Vijayawada and amaravati organised the event. About 40 eminent painters and Sculptors including Giridhar Goud, Mrityunjayarao, Sandhya Sankar Patnaik, V Ramesh, Bm Dass, T Sivaji, N Sridhar, Santi Sri Manda Srinivas were displayed their works at the venue.
