Post demonetization, consumers are fast moving towards cashless transactions. For digital payments, customers look for faster, safer and seamless payment experience. To facilitate this experience for its customers, PVR Cinemas - India’s largest multiplex company has partnered with Pine Labs, India’s top payment solution platform.
This partnership will enable PVR Cinemas to accept contactless Visa payWave card payments from its customers, using the well-established Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. PVR cinema moviegoers will spend a fraction of time at the ticket and refreshment counters, as now they can buy a movie ticket or food and beverage items by simply waving VisapayWave NFC enabled cards, at the Pine Labs’ contactless card acceptance terminals.
As per RBI guidelines, for transactions up to Rs 2000, Visa payWave card holders can use their contactless cards without having to enter a PIN or sign transaction receipts. This innovative payment offering will not only facilitate convenience and faster check out to the customers, but also reduces the hassle of cash handling. The contactless payment acceptance is live at 123 PVR multiplexes, across 48 cities pan India.
Since demonetization, PVR has introduced a series of payment options for patrons where they can indulge in smooth and easy transactions. Right from waiving off the convenience fee to recently introducing UPI, ewallets’ and now offering VisapayWave; PVR’s endeavor is to sync in with government’s new agenda of Digital India and a cashless economy.
Speaking on this occasion, Kamal Gianchandani, CEO PVR Pictures Ltd said, “We are happy to introduce VisapayWaveacceptance at all our multiplexes.
