Guntur Municipal Corporation have been developing anganwadi centres in Guntur into ‘Model English Medium Anganwadi Schools’ to impart quality education to the children of poor families by providing them with modern facilities like TV with digital fiber connection and modern furniture to attract the children.

The class rooms were painted colourfully. Following instructions of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the GMC has been developing anganwadi Centres into ‘Model English Medium anganwadi Schools.’ decorated on par with pre-schools run by corporate education institutions.
The government have been distributing free text books for the students of the school. Teachers from Narayana imparted necessary training to the teachers of the school. The teachers encourage the students to speak in English. Children between the age of two and a half to three will be admitted in the nursery, and children between the age of three to five will be taken into KG classes.
He GMC in association with donors decided to distribute school bags, uniforms to the students. During the first phase, GMC is developing three schools. Later it will develop the remaining Anganwadi Centres.
