A Guinness world record was achieved by making 1800 tricolor flags in a record time by Hyderabad replica artist Dr Darla Nageswara Rao which were distributed to all the school children, on the occasion of the 71st Independence Day celebration at AKTPMC High school at Satyanarayanapuram on Thursday.
A Guinness world record was achieved by making 1800 tricolor flags in a record time by Hyderabad replica artist Dr Darla Nageswara Rao which were distributed to all the school children, on the occasion of the 71st Independence Day celebration at AKTPMC High school at Satyanarayanapuram on Thursday.
The programme was jointly organised by ‘Score More Foundation (SMF) and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC). Nageswara Rao had 12 Limca and Guinness world records in his kitty.
Earlier the 47th division corporater G Mahesh hoisted the flag and received the guard of honour by the NCC students and later addressed the gathering on the 71st Independence day.
Mahesh said that it was a proud moment to be a part of the world record, and thanked the SNF and VMC for organising this event. Principal S Srinivas Rao, SMF president Dr T Pattabhi Ram, artist P Srinivas Rao and others participated in the celebration.
