East Godavari District Superintendent of Police, Vishal Gunni launched the Locked House Monitoring System(LHMS) at district police office here on Wednesday. Speaking in a press conference SP Spoke of this new technology called LHMS. Gunni told that property offenses are becoming a major challenge for police department. He also informed that for the past one and a half months their department did many exercises on this.

Adopting the new technology in recognizing the offenders will make their work easier. Explaining how it works, SP said that the camera in this device is a motion detection camera and this camera detects any motion before the camera and it will alert the police control room as well as the house owner who installs it. This installation is free of cost.

For the installation of this device in any home in this district the house owners have to go to the nearest police station and should meet the SHO(Station House Officer).
